February 2026 28-Mile Challenge for Trans Lifeline

Hey, y’all!

I’ve signed up for the 28-Mile Challenge for Trans Lifeline 💜 because this cause is close to my heart. I want to take action and make an impact. And I would love your help. Whether you donate $5 or $500, every bit counts. I’ve set my ambitious goal at $100 because I know that with support from people like you, I can get there.

For the month of February, starting tomorrow, I’ll be walking as much as possible to build my stamina. During this time, I’ll be closely tracking my mileage and steps through the month of Feb, sharing updates weekly. For every .01 mile I walk in excess of 1 mile daily, I’ll be putting in $0.01, as one donation at the end of the month.

I’ve included information about Trans Lifeline below.

Trans Lifeline is a national trans-led organization dedicated to improving the quality of trans lives by responding to the critical needs of our community with direct service, material support, advocacy, and education. Our vision is to fight the epidemic of trans suicide and improve overall life-outcomes of trans people by facilitating justice-oriented, collective community aid.

If you’d like to donate, you can do so in two ways:

  1. Since the fundraiser is hosted on Facebook, if you have a Facebook account, you can donate directly here.
  2. If you don’t have a Facebook account, or would prefer not to use it, you can send me a donation via CashApp ($SchmitzDerekI) and I’ll put them in as I receive them. You’ll receive credit for the donation in the comments section on the wall of the fundraiser.
